My Favorite Green Smoothie
This smoothie is so refreshing! A few mornings a week, we make this smoothie- it is the perfect start to your day. A whole lemon adds a brightness that most smoothies don’t have. The color of the smoothie is bright green due to the large amount of kale. I personally love ginger, so I add a knob of ginger to give the smoothie a little kick. If you want to start off your day with a super healthy, bright smoothie I highly recommend this one!
Ingredients
2 handfuls of kale (This was 6 of leaves of Dino Kale for me. You can also use Curly Kale, both the stem and the leaves)
3/4 cup frozen mango
1 cup ice
1 banana, peeled
1 lemon, rind removed (the pith and small seeds are fine)
1 1/2 cups water, you can adjust based on how thick you want the smoothie
Optional:
1 inch piece of ginger
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until combined. Pour into glasses.
